1. How to Install Theme on WordPress using WordPress Admin

This method can be used to install free WordPress themes from the WordPress theme directory. Follow these procedures to install these free themes.

First, log in to Your WordPress Dashboard. Then look out for Appearance >> Click on Theme >> Add New >> Now here you can see all types of themes.

After you select the best theme for your website click on install and activate. You can also see the preview from here also.

Now type your website URL in any browser to see how your website looks now.

You can choose from Featured WordPress themes, Popular WordPress themes, Latest WordPress themes, search for a specific theme, or search for themes with specific features on the next screen.

You may sort themes by their features by clicking the ‘Feature Filter’ button. Now sort themes by subject, specific features, and layout, for example.

Choose any type of filter from here.

Bring your mouse over the image of the theme you wish to install when you see it. The install, preview, and information buttons will now be visible.

Proceed to the install button and click it.

Now after installing Theme click on Customize option and from here you can add your website name, title, images, widget, etc.

2. How to Install Zip file using Upload Method

If you do not like the free theme of WordPress or you want to install a premium theme, by downloading it from outside, at that time you can install the zip file of that plugin on your site.

First, open your WordPress Admin area then find the option Appearance >> Click on Themes >> then Click on Add New >> now Click on Upload Theme.

Now here you can choose and upload your zip file folder from your computer and click on install.

From here you can see Live Preview before activation and then click on Activate your theme.

Now after installation, if you want to customize your theme you can follow the same process that I mentioned earlier in the first installing method.

3. Installing Theme on WordPress Using FTP Method

It is possible that the files you downloaded are too large to install using the Upload option. You’ll need FTP to install the theme in that case.

FTP (File-Transfer Protocol) is the most widely used protocol for securely transferring files over a computer network between clients and servers. It also has file-access and file-management capabilities.

Before you begin the installation procedure, ensure the theme you choose is unzipped. You can see I unzipped this folder on my PC. To unzip files you need to Extract files on your PC.

Now you can install the theme through FTP by following the steps below.

Install an FTP client on your computer. FTP clients are programs that connect to your hosting account and allow you to manually move files. FileZilla, WinSCP, Cyberduck, and other well-known FTP clients are examples.

If you don’t have an FTP account you can create it through your cPanel. Login to your cPanel admin dashboard you can the option there with the name FTP Accounts click and create new.

Once Connected you need to go wp-content >> open Themes folder >> and upload that unzip file here.

After uploading a Zip file go to WordPress Dashboard then get to Appearance >> Themes >> Click on Activate.

4. How to Install WordPress Theme in Cpanel

The WordPress dashboard is the simplest way to install your WordPress theme. Simply choose your packed theme file from Appearance >> Themes >> Add New. However, if this does not work, you will need to upload it to your cPanel.

Your cPanel can be found in your web hosting account’s Hosting Manager. It stands for Control Panel and is where all of your website’s files and databases are stored.

For that go to your cPanel admin Dashboard find the File Manager option-click and open it.

Now under public_html you can see wp-content >> Themes >> now upload a zip file directly here and extract it here.

Now after uploading the zip file and Extracting go to WordPress Dashboard Appearance >> Themes >> and Activate that Theme.
