What You Need Before We Start WordPress Blog
There are four main things you need to How to Start WordPress Blog –
- Internet connection
- Domain and Hosting
- Create a blog.
Domain and Hosting
To start a blog, first of all, we need domain and hosting. Domain means your website name and hosting is a server where we keep all website data.

You can move your website to Blue Host, HostGator, or any major hosting platform whenever the traffic hatch time on your website increases.
Now It’s Time To Start a WordPress Blog
To start a WordPress blog let us a go-ahead to purchase hosting and domains for you from Hostinger.
On my side, I am using Hostinger. Your side may be a different server but no worry, if you are using any other company server but the process is the same.
Go to Google and type Hostinger or by clicking here also you can redirect Hostinger.
Now click on option hosting from here and choose the WordPress hosting option.
This will take you to the next page. Now click on start from here. Now they will show you the price option list.
You can choose any plan according to your budget from here. I suggest you choose the second option. This one is better for you and in this plan, you can store 100 website data.
Now click on Add to Cart, it will redirect the summary page, from here select how many months plan do you want.
Now if you come a bit down on this order page you can see the lifetime SSL certificate here and from here you can check your Domain name and the domain for 1 year is also free after one year you need to renew it from here.
After selecting your domain and hosting click on checkout and you can pay by UPI or credit card option. Now you have purchased your domain and hosting it’s time to install WordPress.
Now Open Your Hostinger cPanel to Install WordPress
- Go to the Hostinger website and login with your details, you will see this type of screen, they will show you your hosting and domain options.
- Now click on manage to install WordPress and now you can see this type of screen from here by looking at the website option below.
- Click on the auto installer in this website option and after selecting this option you can see there is option for WordPress install.
After clicking on Auto Installer, you will see the next page, and from here Select WordPress Option.
After that, you need to fill out all website details to Install a new Database for your website. This will auto-select your website URL.
Next, you have to add Administrator username, Email, Password, Website Title and remain Database or Database Password as empty, because this will automatically create database name for you.
Then just click on Install you’re all done here you successfully install WordPress using cPanel.

Now, friends, WordPress has been installed, you have received an email from Hostinger. In that, you have been sent Login ID, Password, Login Address.
After that, you address your website address Ex. Go to yourwebsite.com/wp-admin and enter the WordPress user ID and password and log in.

Now Come to WordPress Dashboard
Now you have to choose the best theme for your website. WordPress already has several thousand themes, you can install any of these WordPress themes.
For this, you have to go to your WordPress dashboard and then click on Appearance >> Themes. Click on Add New button, WordPress themes will be shown in front of you.
You can choose a theme according to the subject of your blog or website such as business, shopping, online learning, news website, etc.
So move your mouse over the theme, then click on the preview button. After clicking on the preview button, there will be a theme show, in this, you can see how your website or blog will look.
Choose a lighter theme for your blog. If you install a theme with more functionality, it will slow down the speed of your website and act like it is not user-friendly.
If they do not get easy to read, then they will not read your article and will go away from your blog. From our side, you have a theme suggestion.
If your visitors are not easy to read, they will not read your article and walk away from your blog.
Create Your First Blog Post
Come to your dashboard to create the first blog post. Now click on the Post option and click on Add New Post.
In this left side panel, you can see more options such as categories you can add directly from here, permalink, text color, preview mode, featured image, tag, and more.
Now you are ready to write your article. Choose your title and then start writing your first blog post.
By clicking on this + button you can add pictures, videos, animation, paragraphs, tables, galleries, media, and many other options which you can see there.
After all, is set up your first blog post is ready to be published.
Now add plugins for the functionality of your website. This plugin will help you to make your blog user-friendly.

To install WordPress plugins you have to click on Dashboard >> plugins >> add new. After this, search for the name of any plug-in you want to install and click on install.
Then click on Activate after this, in this way the plugins on your website will be activated.

Important WordPress Settings
Today I will tell you some important settings for WordPress which are only one-time activities, after that, you do not need to change them.
Come to the WordPress dashboard and click on the Settings option and go to General Settings.
Site Title and Tagline :
You can change the title and tagline of your site from here. You can add details about your business to the tagline.
WordPress and Site Address :
From here you can select your site and WordPress title, either you can choose https://example.com or https://www.example.com.
Administration Email Address:
Enter your email address here so that WordPress can send you updates and problems about your website.
Now the general settings are complete, you do not need to touch other settings from here, click save.
Default Post Category and Default Post format :
When you start your new blog, you can see here in the default posts category uncategorized already selected by default. You don’t have to change this setting.
And select your default post format standard, do not change it.
Click on save changes.
Your homepage Display:
If your website is just a blog, then you have to select your homepage display as your latest post and if you have a business home page, you can select a static page as your home page.
Blog post and syndication feed show:
Select your blog post and syndication feeds to show the most recent at 10.
For each post in a feed, include :
Select a summary from the feed When your blog appears on the home page, your visitors show a short description of all your posts.
Search Engine Visibility:
Do not select this option, Google or any search engine cannot crawl your website if you choose it. You can choose this setting if you do not want your website to appear on a search engine.
You do not need to touch anything from the discussion settings here. WordPress is automatically set to the default setting for you.
This setting is also set as default by WordPress. If you want to change, you can change the image settings from here.
Permalinks are the main setting for your site URL, when your website appears on Google it can be shown properly as you can see in this picture.
I would like you to click on the post name, it will appear on google like https://example.com/your-post-name so visitors and google crawlers should not be confused.
Now all your WordPress settings are complete, you never have to change anything from here.
